Another literacy movement I had was in second grade when I was learning to read. We were put into reading groups and i was put into the lowest reading group. We had are reading groups every other day, the reading group was hard for me because my teacher would not let me use my finger or a piece of paper to cover and focus on the sentence I was reading. My teacher was very hard on me about not using my finger or paper to help focus on the words, she would mark off points for the day if I tried to do that, she was very hard on me but she pushed me to make me a better writer. The setting of the reading group was in the back of the classroom around a table while the rest of the class did independent work, so in this setting I had a hard time focusing. To focus I sat with my back to the class and just focused on what was in front of me. The individual that helped was my teacher she was hard on me about my reading level but she helped me learn to read without using anything. This moment was good but challenging and help me become a better reader.
