The most important piece of technology that I use is my cell phone. The cell phone is my most important piece of technology because it helps me stay in touch with my family and friends. While growing up I was always with and surrounded by family but that didn’t last long, my dad enlisted into the United States Army and he was assigned to Fort Sturt. Though I was too young to remember much of the of move I could tell from that point that life was different cell phones were not what they are today when I originally moved and when we moved instead of always seeing and hearing form my family I very solemnly heard from them. The the drive that took no time to see my grandparents suddenly turned into a fourteen hour trip that happened in no more than a weekend. I didn’t get my first cell phone until the eighth grade, which is only five years ago but when I look back at this time I feel like it happened so long ago. I think to myself what did I do before my phone and I feel like most people think that way, but for me I think it was different when I got my phone it was after my fourth move and third different state. When I got my phone I was excited I thought to myself I can finally get all my friends numbers and get all the social media apps. When I got my phone I took it to school and got all my friends numbers and social media usernames so I could add them. As I had my phone for the first while i was always on it, as I was on I started see my old friends from my previous moves and that’s when I added all of them and got their numbers and started talking to them again. Now I am 19 and I still use my phone to keep up with friends as I keep moving I keep meeting new friends and finding old ones my phone keeps me in touch with friends form first grade to friends I have made this year. But as I get older I see why so many people are starting to dislike technology, I think people have to realize that this is the 21st century and it’s all about the latest and newest technology and people won’t stop till we achieve the best of the best. Many people are scared of this and they have every right having robots function like humans is a scary thought, but if we can limite what this technology is used for and if we keep teaching students how to do things without technology we will be okay as the human species. People do also have to realize that technology can bring out the good in people, it can make improvements to hospitals to save lives it can make transportation easier. It also pushes people to make the next best thing it makes people work hard and makes them strive to be the next best thing in the world that could affect not just one person but one million people.
