I feel like Dweck and other educators like her can help and change the way kids learn today and could benefit school systems in the future. Dweck’s idea of grading on a “yet” and “not yet” scale is a good way to help kids learn because the kids will have to show work but they won’t feel as if the work is a waste of time if the teacher grade the work and looked at everything the student worked on in the problem. This will also help kids the might be easily discouraged or students who have a hard time understanding, I think it would give students more encouragement rather than saying you failed you say not yet meaning that the teacher knows that the student will understand eventually. Dweck also says we need to “pries wisely” I feel like this would help if teachers did this because they would encourage students who work hard and are trying to understand if they don’t. I feel like Dweck has good idea for changing some things in the classrooms that will make learning more fun and better for every student.
